GALLERY 1:     "How it all starts!"

STANDING DEAD TIMBER
T.L.Timber Ltd. primarily sources dead standing Spruce and Lodgepole Pine for our milled log home products. Our Logging Operations is committed in providing the facility quality timber.
FELLER BUNCHER
The Buncher operator grabs the timber in each passes and "bunches" trees together. It then proceeds to lay these bunches down for the Skidder to retrieve with its grapple.
LOG SKIDDER
A log skidder is dragging harvested timber to a location where the tree will be removed of its branches, graded and cut to length.
LOG PROCESSOR
It's the Processor operators job to clear the timber of its branches, cut to length, grade & then sort the logs.
LOG LOADER
Loadermen are responsible to sort & load the trees on to awaiting trucks for transport to the facility.
HAULING TIMBER
Our truck drivers haul the timber safely to sawmills and to our own facility depending on the wide range of log sorts.
UNLOADING AT YARD
Logging trucks are unloaded in the log yard with the grapple wheel loader. The operator piles the timber according to size and grade.
HAPPY TRUCK DRIVER
The driver's are happy to get unloaded quick so they can get back on the road for another load.
LOG INVENTORY
Our log inventory is filled with only quality dead & dry Spruce & Lodgepole Pine. In keeping with TPI grade standards, our commitment to such starts in the forests.

SIMILKAMEEN VALLEY
T.L.Timber Ltd. is located in Cawston, BC nestled in the South Okanagan amongst fruit trees, vineyards and the Similkameen river.
LOG SORT YARD
The loaderman spreads a deck of logs for the buckerman to cut to size, length & grade.
GRADING LOGS
All of our staff are grade certified so having them start out in the log yard helps sort out lower grade timbers before they get too far into the process.
CUSTOM CUTTING
Our massive double 52" circular sawmill is capable of milling large timbers in upwards of 65' in length.
WANEY CANTS
Slabbing logs on 4 sides leaving bark on the edges is called "waney cants". T.L.Timber Ltd. profiles these into various milled log profiles using their onsite log milling machine.
LOG PROFILING
Once logs are canted they are profiled through the PENDU log mill. This machine offers various sizes of Swedish Cope, D-Log and Pioneer wall logs. Plus an array of heavy milled log & timber siding profiles.
SADDLE NOTCHES
The notcher is an oversized drill press that "notches" and cuts each log to length. The operator here has to ensure each log is carefully notched and cut specifically to the plans provided. Each log is then tagged accordingly.
LOG PEELING
Most of our logs go through the process of peeling both machine & hand peeled. This is to ensure the logs retain a rustic finish.
PACKED & LOADED
Logs are packaged, banded, wrapped & loaded on the truck headed to yet another happy builder & home owner.
